Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial significant trophy of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he once was, and would seriously think about prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
