Starmer to Urge Allies on Advanced Missile Systems for Ukrainian Forces at UK Gathering
The UK Prime Minister is expected to urge supporting countries to supply Ukraine with additional extended-range weaponry to hit Russian targets during a meeting in the UK capital on this Friday.
Britain's leader will host Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "coalition of the willing", including more than 20 of Ukraine's allies who have agreed to grant Kyiv protection commitments once hostilities pause is arranged.
Ukraine's president has been urging for several weeks for additional long-range weapons from the West, a step that the Russian government has stated would escalate the conflict.
The Ukrainian president is travelling from Belgium, where he conferred with European Union officials on Thursday requesting funding aid.

Britain's leader will press delegates to ramp up the supply of long-range weapons following a successful operation on a manufacturing site in the Bryansk region, the Russian Federation, using British-supplied advanced weaponry.
"And his horrific assaults on small children in a nursery in recent days make that perfectly obvious," he stated further.
